Tragedy has struck CONA as recent debate has signaled an anachronism in ideology among delegates.

I’m not talking about proposals. I’m talking about the argument that has arisen in the past few days that female delegates should refrain from the darting game because it is unladylike for girls to sprawl on the ground in their dress clothes.

I find this to be an unfair double standard, since men are allowed to slump on the ground in their suits. If men are concerned about the spectacle of a darted girl, then they should be gentlemen and keep their prying eyes away.

By imposing a double standard on the darting game, delegates are treating women like second-class citizens. Women can do anything men can do, even while wearing heels and a pencil skirt.

For justice.
