If I had a quarter for every time I’ve been asked, “What does a media delegate do? What exactly is that?” I would have the first year of my college secured and some extra on the side for books. Well… maybe not the books, but you get what I mean.

My name is Samantha Jamgochian, and I’m with the Delaware group (they’re completely fantastic if you’ve never met them, in which case, you’re missing out). I was only involved in YIG for one year, because it was the first year it came through the doors of Cape Henlopen High School, and I was honored to be chosen as an alternate for CONA. Luck came my way and here I am now. I’ve been heavily involved with journalism since I was for 4 years, and writing seriously for 8. I was the editor-in-chief at Cape for two years, and during YIG this past year. I loved every opportunity that came my way and loved running a staff, but I wanted to try something new for this.

Well, it worked. I’m the 2010 Electronic Editor AKA “Cyber Person” for CONA. This letter here that has no real direction at all is a welcoming to beginning of the 2010 Conference Week blog, and to help me get familiar with things. I know many of you probably won’t be seeing this until you get home, but please check back often for updates, photos and videos.

In addition to this blog, the broadcast team is constantly busy at work, as is the print crew. Deadlines are tight, but the paper will surely be printing today.
